Joseph

Joseph Molis is the head of the auditing and assurance services department at Gabler Molis & Co. He started his accounting career with Ernst & Young's Hartford, Connecticut location in the auditing department, working with clients as diverse as hospitals, financial institutions, manufacturing, construction contracting, local governments, and employee benefit plans. After five years, he left Ernst & Young and joined General Signal Corporation as an internal auditor, performing financial and operational audits. In 1996, he moved to North Carolina and worked as a financial analyst for Kendro, assisting in internal and external audits as well as internal control review. In 1999, Joe joined Crisp, Hughes, & Evans, LLP as a senior in the auditing department, advancing to manager one year later. His primary duties were healthcare, not-for-profit, employee benefit, and governmental audits. In early 2002, he joined Reese A. Lasher, CPA, PA later to be known as Gabler Molis & Company.
Joseph's education includes a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Bentley College in Waltham, MA.
Actively involved in all areas of the profession, Joseph has served as the Treasurer for the Asheville Jaycees and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the NC & SC Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the HFMA (Healthcare Financial Management Association). Joseph is also licensed in the states of SC, GA, VA, TN, and CT.
